Creating the curriculum

As an organization For the Love of the Arts Inc. has created a curriculum that is centered on the above aspects and rooted in our core values putting our best efforts into every young person who enters the doors of our program. We are centered around the word love because in a time where youth have access to so many different view points we believe that only love of self, learning, and community will ensure a better future for us all. community Impact

Since our founding we have provided quality arts programming to over 300 students in Lake County through our partnerships. Our goal is to continue impacting our community with the help of our partners and to expand our growth to surrounding neighborhoods. By providing a well rounded curriculum and a safe place to express the youths artistic side we are able to see a positive change in our neighborhood. Our partnerships have included Boys & Girls Clubs of NWI, Communities in Schools Lake Co., Lighthouse Charter School, & Lake Co. Juvenile Court.

mental wellness

As a nation we are facing a mental health crisis among our youth like never before. Self harm and suicide rates continue to climb as social pressures leave our youth struggling with self esteem and identity. Our programs are targeting mental health issues directly through our therapeutic approach while engaging students and bringing tough topics to life through the arts. Our licensed therapist and trained staff incorporate mental wellness techniques and training in all of our curriculums. We Cover a variety of topics such as: Self Esteem, Anger Management, Identity, Managing Emotions, Anxiety, Substance Abuse and more.

With the help of our partners and local volunteers we’ve been able to manage a steady growth year by year. Every donation is used towards the advancement of this great organization. To ensure growth and maintaining it’s momentum all relies on the steady stream of generous donations from like minded philanthropists and local partners.
